Cold Weather Dosen't Stop This Kid

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Mid Bay
Location: Flag Harbor

Nathan, age 5 was fishing on Friday 10/25 in the afternoon from Flag Harbor Beach in St. Leonard, MD at low tide. He was using a spinning reel and light action rod with a bottom rig with two size 4 hooks baited with blood worms. He needed a 4oz. Pyramid sinker to hold bottom because of the ebb tide and wind. Nathan reeled in these two nice sized White Perch. He also caught a few Spot, more White Perch, and rockfish in the 10 - 14" range that were quickly returned to the bay. We saw a lot of birds (gannets?) working the surface but just out of reach from the shore line to see exactly what species of fish were under them. All in all a great afternoon of fishing.
