The Maryland Department of Natural Resources adopted new yellow perch regulations on January 6, 2009. These regulations allow tidal fish licensees to obtain a 2009 yellow perch harvest permit during the month of October. Since these regulations will not be effective until January 26, 2009, the Department announces that it intends to extend this yellow perch permit application period through Monday, February 9, 2009.
