The Secretary of Maryland Department of Natural Resources pursuant to COMAR 08.02.15.12(H) announces the closure of the 2009 striped bass commercial gill net fishery, effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009. The 2009 Chesapeake Bay striped bass commercial quota is projected to be caught by the date of closure.

The striped bass commercial gill net fishery will reopen Friday, January 1, 2010.
