The Secretary of Maryland Department of Natural Resources pursuant to Code of Maryland Regulation 08.02.15.07 (A) announced today striped bass catch limits for the 2009 pound net season. For a commercial tidal fish licensee assigned multiple striped bass pound net allocations on a permit, or a seasonal allocation totaling at least 6,000 pounds, the daily landing limit is 1600 pounds per day. For a licensee with a single striped bass pound net allocation on a permit, the daily landing limit is 800 pounds per day.
