MARYLAND OYSTER SHELL PRICE CHANGE

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources pursuant to COMAR 08.02.08.04 is notifying licensed oyster dealers that the price for oyster shells shucked in Maryland is fifty cents per bushel effective Tuesday, September 1, 2009.

House Bill 177 passed by the 2009 Maryland General Assembly gave the Department authority to change the amount paid for a bushel of oyster shell, this amount was previously set at 25 cents per bushel in law.
