The first day of the White Marlin Open (WMO) was a tough one. Winds were southwest at 15 to 20 knots and seas were 4 to 6 feet. Seventeen attempted to offshore with approximately half of them returning after they left the "shelter" of the Inlet. One white marlin was released and none were boated.
