Improper Forest Management
Forest management treatments greatly affect the health and character of the forest. Treatments are selected to help landowners meet their objectives, ensure a variety of short- and long-term benefits, and maintain healthy forests.

Poorly implemented and inappropriate treatments usually result in decreased forest health and fewer benefits. Often, this occurs when landowners are misinformed or make decisions about their forest land without assistance from foresters and other trained natural resources managers.
