The loblolly pine-hardwood forest association is found on the Coastal Plain Province. It represents a transition from forests dominated by pines to forests dominated by oaks and other hardwoods.Loblolly pine is a minor but important component, representing about 20% of the composition. Hardwood species reflect the amount of soil moisture on the site.
