Piedmont Province

The Piedmont Province is an area of rolling uplands with elevations ranging from 100 to 500 feet above sea level. Soils of the Piedmont were derived from granite rock and consist of loams and clays with rock fragments and gravel. The climate is moderate throughout this central Maryland province.
