Guide to Community Forestry Programs
Maryland Department of Natural Resources
Maryland Urban and Community Forestry
|
Dear Marylanders, We hope this resource guide will help you recognize ways you may contribute towards Maryland’s conservation efforts. This Guide to Community Forestry Programs was prepared by the Maryland Urban and Community Forest Committee with the assistance of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service. It will help you identify and contact tree planting and conservation programs that are the best match for your talents, interests, and needs. Although this guide is quite extensive, it by no means contains all programs that are available. The first part of this guide lists programs and organizations and relates them to your interests as an individual volunteer, a community group, landowner, business, government, or school. The second part is a description of each program and organization and how to contact them. Thank you for your interest in helping conserve Maryland’s trees and forests.
