What's New for 2011-2012
- Sunday Hunting Legislation passed during the 2011 General Assembly opened additional Sunday hunting opportunities in Maryland:
- Carroll County has been added to the list of counties that allow hunting for deer on private land on certain Sundays.
- The Junior Deer Hunt may now include the Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend in most counties.
- Chronic Wasting Disease Has Been Detected in Allegany County. CWD management measures are being taken in that section of Allegany with the Public Land Code number of 233.
- St. Mary’s County was omitted from the Private Land Codes map in the print version of the 2011-2012 Maryland Guide to Hunting and Trapping. Click here for a copy of this map.
