Bureau of Land Management Training Opportunities

The Bureau of Land Management in the US Dept. of the Interior sponsors many courses and workshops through a variety of training opportunities. Trails, recreation, land management, technical training, and public involvement are topics that are frequently covered. The BLM has also been a leader in establishing and developing the National Trails Training Partnership. For current training schedules see the NTTP Calendar and BLM's National Training Center.

National Trails Training Partnership (NTTP)

NTTP is an alliance of Federal agencies, training providers, nationwide supporters, professional contractors, and providers of products and services.

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC)

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC) is a national clearinghouse for information related to pedestrians and bicyclists. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in communities through the increase of safe walking and bicycling as a viable means of transportation and physical activity. Through our comprehensive Web sites (www.walkinginfo.org, www.bicyclinginfo.org, www.pedbikeimages.org), we offer information and training to diverse audiences about health and safety, engineering, advocacy, education, enforcement, access, and mobility as it relates to pedestrians and bicyclists. The PBIC is funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration and housed within the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
