NRP Tactical Response Team (TRT)

The Maryland Natural Resources Police Tactical Response Team (TRT) is comprised of Maryland Natural Resources Police Officers. The TRT is trained and equipped for conventional SWAT missions but specializes in rural woodland tactical and maritime tactical operations related to our Agency mission. The TRT supports other State, Federal and County law enforcement agencies when support is requested. Rural tactical missions consist of any operation in a rural environment where a tactical response is required. These may include fleeing felons, subjects that pose a threat to others or themselves and missions requiring specialized tactics and stealth. Maritime tactical missions include safety and security zone enforcement and non-compliant vessel boarding and securing.

- Boat certification in vessel operations
- Search and rescue
- Evidence Search
- Tactical woodland patrol
- Surveillance and reconnaissance
- Warrant service
- Special events
