Quest information


Take a 1.5 mile leisurely stroll starting at the Tuckahoe State Park office while discovering marked nests of Maryland’s native wildlife. The trail will transition from field edge to forest acknowledging the different habitats and unique features each species needs to build their nests and lay their eggs. You’ll find yourself asking “Who Laid That Egg?” and the answer will be there, along with key identifying information to help you identify nests and eggs in the future. Don’t forget to stop by Tuckahoe’s Aviary before or after your hike to visit the birds of prey animal ambassadors!

  • Pets are permitted on leash but not inside the Aviary fence.

Park Information
Tuckahoe Creek, a quiet country stream bordered for most of its length by wooded marshlands, runs through the length of the park. A 60-acre lake offers boating and fishing. The park has 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, picnicking, as well as 2 playgrouds
