Assateague State Park 2018 Junior Beach Patrol Program

Get a taste of what it's like being a part of the Assateague State Park Beach Patrol by training with the lifeguards! Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and get involved with many different components of lifeguarding, including lessons about beach and ocean ecology, and basis surf rescue. This camp is open to Assateague State Park campers as well as Day Use visitors. Camp meets at Lifeguard Office at Assateague State Park Concession building. Junior Ranger Beach Patrol Program
Ages: 8 - 14
Tuesdays and Wednesdays (2-day sessions)
10 a.m. to noon

Session 1: June 19 and June 20
Session 2: June 26 and June 27
Session 3: July 2 and July 3 * (this week is Monday and Tuesday)
Session 4: July 10 and July 11
Session 5: July 17 and July 18
Session 6: July 24 and July 25
Session 7: July 31 and August 1
Session 8: August 7 and August 8


Equipment is provided. Registered participants receive a water bottle and certificate of completion. Participants should wear bathing suits, sunscreen and hats. Service charge of $10 per participant. Pre-registration by phone or e-mail is recommended. Space is limited (12 children per session).
