Elk Neck State Park: Rogues Harbor Boat Launch Facility

Rogues Harbor boat launch at Elk Neck State ParkFour boat launch ramps offer access to the Elk River, Chesapeake Bay, and surrounding waterways. Bass tournaments of up to 150 boats can be accommodated, but arrangements must be made in advance by contacting Park Headquarters at 410-287-5333.

Maryland Tagged Vehicles: $10
Out-of-state Tagged Vehicles: $12
** Senior citizens 62 and older with a Maryland Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Passes can be purchased at the park for $10.

Visitor Day Use Fees *

Weekends and Holidays - $3 per person
Weekdays - $3 per vehicle

Out-of-state Tagged Vehicles
Weekends and Holidays - $5 per person
weekdays - $5 per vehicle

  • Discounts only apply to the pass holder. See individual passes for more details.
  • Children in booster seats and car seats are free.
  • Bus fees: April through October the standard weekday bus fee is $10 per bus. On weekends and holidays bus passengers are charged the standard per person charge. November through March the bus fee is $10 per bus.
  • Senior citizens 62 and older with a Maryland Golden Age Pass are free. Golden Age Passes can be purchased at the park for $10.
  • Veterans with ID may request half off the day visitor fee (does not apply to camping or boat launch).

Fishing Tournaments

  • All fishing tournaments require special permits. Please download, complete, and return the
    Fishing Tournament Application to register with Elk Neck State Park
  • You will also need to visit the Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Tournament Anglers website to register tournaments with the agency.
  • Regular launch and day-use fees apply to all visitors and attendees of the tournament.
  • The seasonal convenience store will not be open and gas sales will be limited. A public restroom is also available.

Hours

The boat launch at trailer parking at Rogues Harbor is a 24 hour a day, year round facility. Trailheads and other parking on Rogues Harbor is open sunrise to sunset.

Follow Route 272 South 1 mile past Park Headquarters turn left onto Rogues Harbor Road. 

Things To See and Do

Visitors to Rogues Harbor can:

  • Launch boats
  • Fish and crabbing from fish pier is permitted. Check the current regulations before fishing or crabbing. Fishing and crabbing licenses are required.
  • Hike the Beaver Marsh Loop or the White Banks Trail
