Maryland Migratory Game Bird Advisory Committee
The Maryland Migratory Game Bird Advisory Committee was created by legislation to advise the Secretary of the DNR on matters relating to Maryland's wild waterfowl.
Recent legislative action created a new Maryland Migratory Game Bird Stamp replacing the former Maryland Migratory Waterfowl Stamp and expanding the committee's responsibilities to address the expenditure of the revenues from the new Maryland Migratory Game Bird Stamps sales. The MMGBAC will now review regulations and policies for migratory game bird species (e.g. rails, snipe, woodcock, doves, and gallinules, as well as waterfowl).
All members serve at the pleasure of the Governor of Maryland. This Committee also reports to and advises the members of Maryland's Wildlife Advisory Commission.
