The Beyond B.O.W. 2008 Fall Deer Clinic & Hunt was held at Blossom Point in Charles County, Maryland on Oct 31st and Nov. 1st. Co-sponsored by Blossom Point Military Base, the MD Department of Natural Resources and Maryland's "Becoming an Outdoors Woman" program, the workshop was designed for new to beginner hunters.
On Friday participants learned the how’s and why’s of deer hunting, including safety, hunting skills, white-tailed deer biology and population management, with lots of time spent at the shooting range honing new skills.
Saturday began before sun-up, with women and men stationed in their tree stand for a day of hunting. By the end of the day, many had harvested and field dressed their deer and everyone had a great story to tell.
If you enjoyed watching our photo albums, plan on joining us for the Fall 2010 B.O.W. Deer Clinic. In the meantime, Beyond B.O.W. offers one and two day activities throughout the year. Find out just how much fun it can be to an Outdoors Woman!
