Goose Hunting Clinic & Hunt
on Maryland’s Eastern Shore- Jan. 11-12, 2008

Novice or first time goose hunters joined experience staff of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Blue Stem Farms, and Schrader’s Bridgetown Manor for 2 days they would never forget.  The morning of the first day started out with an introduction to our venue at Schrader’s Bridgetown Manor, then a history and background on waterfowl hunting and goose management from our Waterfowl Biologist Larry Hindman, an overview of laws and regulations by Officer Danny Callahan, and a dog retriever demonstration by Mike Galante, member of the Maryland Waterfowl Association.  The afternoon consisted of personal goose calling lessons with Sean Mann Goose calls (the women kept these calls as gifts), and then ended with shooting lessons and practice with certified instructors at the Wobble Traps.  The second day was pure fun and enjoyment with a full day of a guided hunt.  The women were broken down into 5 groups, each with a guide and a dog.  Every group saw birds and many had a chance to shoot.  For announcements about upcoming clinics, go to:
