Hoary bat is much larger with densely furred interfemoral membrane. |

Under loose bark, rock crevices clumps of leaves, woodpecker holes, bird nests, sometimes open sheds, garages or outbuildings. Not known to summer in Maryland. |

Migrates. Under loose bark, rock crevices, clumps of leaves, woodpecker holes, bird nests, sometimes open sheds, garages or outbuildings. |

Moths, true bugs, flies, mosquitoes, termites, and beetles. |
